Job Opportunity at Tasktop

Do you love building great software? Are you interested in changing how people interact with computers? If so, read on!

Tasktop Technologies, creators of the popular Mylyn open-source project and leaders in productivity tools for software developers, has an opening for a junior software developer.

The successful applicant will have:

  • software development experience in an production software environment,
  • proficiency in the Java programming language,
  • experience building Eclipse plugins,
  • a B.Sc. (graduation in May 2010 is acceptable), and
  • strong communication skills.

Greg Aasen, PMC-Sierra: From High-Tech Startup to Industry Leader

Greg Aasen is the chief strategy officer at PMC-Sierra. Previously he was vice president and general manager of the communications products division, and prior to that, chief operating officer and chief technology officer of the company. Mr. Aasen is a founding member of the PMC-Sierra and brings more than twenty years of experience to the semiconductor industry. In 1986 he joined MPR Teltech and later established the Pacific Microelectronic Centre (PMC), MPR Teltech’s first business division. In 1992, Mr. Aasen’s vision was realized when PMC-Sierra spun-out from MPR Teltech through an investment from Sierra Semiconductor. Mr. Aasen is a member of the Board of Directors for Convedia Corporation and Sierra Wireless.
